DOBSON, NC (July 26, 2017) The Bledsoes are thrilled to announce the return of soprano vocalist, Melissa Jenkins Cates.

Group owner, Rodney Bledsoe shares, “We couldn’t be more excited to have one of the classiest and most talented sopranos in our genre re-joining Robert and I in full-time ministry.”

Cates left the road at the end of 2015 to relocate to another state, due to her husband’s career. Cates shares, “I am so thankful that God has afforded me the blessing of opportunity to re-join Rodney and Robert in ministry.  I’m looking forward to sharing the wonderful message of God’s love through music again!”

During Cates tenure, The Bledsoes enjoyed a first-round Grammy nomination for their project entitled, Trusting. The trio topped the Singing News charts with four – Top 40 songs and one  – Top 10, “I’m Glad I’m Saved.” Rodney, Robert and Missie have been blessed to perform main-stage at the National Quartet Convention, held yearly in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee and made an appearance at Silver Dollar City’s – Red Gold Hall.

Cates official return with the trio will be the first of September, due to prior ministry commitments that she will honor.

Rodney notes, “I will miss touring with my cousin, Heather Hunter, who has been a faithful member of The Bledsoes for the past year and a half. Heather and husband, Noah welcomed a daughter, Allison Jude, on Saturday, June 24, 2017. There is no greater career than being a Mother to three; Grayson – 2, Reagan – 1 and baby Allison. We celebrate this precious season in her life.”

The Bledsoes could never thank the Lord sufficiently for His mercy, grace, and salvation; and for allowing them to fulfill the calling He has placed on each of their lives.
