National recording artist Sherry Anne sings with an elegant voice that perfectly blends a passion for Southern gospel, R and B, country, and blues music with her deep faith. What makes her gift even more extraordinary is the fact that Sherry Anne was born with a bilateral hearing and speech impairment.
Sherry Anne has recorded gospel CDs (Southern, Country, Contemporary and Christmas) produced by Academy of Country Music Award winner Gordon Mote, Gaither Homecoming friend Woody Wright, Southern Gospel Hall of Famer Nick Bruno (Elvis Presley, Stamps Quartet), and Tony Griffith of The Griffith Family. She has appeared with notable Gaither Homecoming artists such as The Booth Brothers, The Hoppers, The Collingsworth Family, and The Martins. Her national stage appearances include the National Quartet Convention and Dollywood (September 2016). Sherry Anne is among the 2016 Singing News Fan Awards Top 10 Favorite New Artists nationally.
With a servant’s heart as she sings, Sherry Anne weaves in the story of her journey from challenging childhood to beauty pageant crowns, academic and athletic awards, and a Doctor of Chiropractic degree by age 24. As “Dr. Sherry,” she has worked with recording industry artists, fitness professionals, and Hollywood celebrities. And yet with all that success there was still an emptiness that only Our Lord could fill and He did. Today, Sherry Anne’s desire is to share the message of His unconditional love, mercy, and grace for all.
Her television and film appearances include visits to TBN, 100 Huntley Street, Babbie’s House, Down Home Gospel, Nite Line, and a Feed the Children special with Gaither Homecoming artist Lynda Randle; the films Clancy and The Perfect Gift; and several music videos. As a songwriter, Sherry Anne’s video of “I Only Know to Pray,” written about the dangers of the internet for young people, debuted on Nashville Country Revival on Daystar television in 2013. Her devotional column “Reflections with Sherry Anne” will soon be in book format.
Sherry Anne’s heartfelt way of sharing well-selected songs earned her the “Judge’s Pick” at the GMA (Gospel Music Association) in the Rockies event in Estes Park, CO, and the Stamps-Baxter School of Music in Nashville, TN. She has earned Showcase Winner honors at the National Quartet Convention and is pleased to have been named a Utica Observer Dispatch Accent of Excellence Award winner.
Sherry Anne has keynoted and shared her story with diverse audiences from school children and college students to church congregations, coffeehouse patrons, women’s conferences, and many others. She is a member of the Chiropractic Performing Arts Network, and International Sports Science Association. She has served as an advisor for the Utica College Advisory Committee for the Health Professions and the Mohawk Valley Community College’s Distinguished Alumni Panel.
